Purchase FlightTurf®

FlightTurf® installation recommendations (full specifications available upon request): 

  1. Seeding FlightTurf® is similar to any typical grass installation. 
  2. Consider your soil conditions and prepare the area intended for FlightTurf® with appropriate soil amendments if needed.
  3. Important to clear the soil of weeds and root structure in advance. 
  4. Choose mechanical or manual methods to seed the area. 
  5. Apply at a rate of approximately 400 lbs seed per acre. 
  6. Reseeding should be considered within a 1 to 3 month period to eliminate bare areas. 
  7. Very minor mulching should be considered over the seeded area and daily watering to accomplish germination during the first few weeks. 
  8. Consider mowing if you want a golf course fairway look – remember the less mowing the better. 
  9. Consider dethatching at reasonable intervals to enhance the look of FlightTurf® – this isn’t a necessary effort. 
  10. Enjoy your FlightTurf®.

FlightTurf® helps deter animals that may carry ticks, helps deter tick spreading wildlife, and helps deter animals that can spread Lyme disease. According to the CDC, Lyme disease is spread through the bite of infected ticks.

Facts – this grass seed when applied at the recommended rate and grown into a tight monoculture is recognized to reduce tick presence.

Ingredients – non GMO proprietary grass seed mix.

Purpose – deter wildlife that carry ticks, reduce maintenance requirements of mowing, fertilizing, and watering.

Uses – when used as directed, FlightTurf® Lawn seed results in a slow growing turf grass which reduces maintenance requirements and deters wildlife that can carry ticks such as those carrying Lyme disease. 

Warnings – Lyme disease prevention requires many layers of prevention to accomplish completely safe conditions – FlightTurf® is only one layer of deterrence against the ticks which may carry Lyme disease.
